What is the difference between SD water-based varnish and primer?
SD water-based varnish is applied on top of printed surfaces to provide protection and enhance appearance (gloss, matte, etc.). Primer is applied before printing on difficult-to-adhere substrates to improve ink adhesion. Our SD-WV Varnish Series provides scratch resistance, while SD-WP Primer Series improves printability on films.
