Product FAQs

Which surface printing ink is suitable for BOPP film?

Our SD-WP General Surface Printing Ink is specially formulated for BOPP films. It offers excellent adhesion, fast drying, and good printability on BOPP substrates. For higher scratch resistance requirements, we recommend SD-WH Scratch-resistant Surface Printing Ink.

How to achieve better adhesion on PE substrates with SD water-based ink?

For PE substrates, we recommend using our SD-WE PE Blown Film Surface Printing Ink. It is specifically designed for PE materials and provides excellent adhesion without blocking issues. Proper surface treatment or corona treatment can also enhance adhesion.

What is the color density performance of SD surface printing ink?

SD surface printing inks achieve high color density with excellent saturation. Our standard CMYK colors typically reach density values of: Cyan ≥1.40, Magenta ≥1.35, Yellow ≥1.20, Black ≥1.80 on standard PE substrates. This ensures vibrant and consistent print results.

What is the recommended drying temperature for SD water-based ink?

The recommended drying temperature for SD water-based inks is typically 60-80°C for the drying tunnel. For high-speed production lines (150-350m/min), we recommend slightly higher temperatures around 70-90°C. Proper drying ensures good adhesion and prevents blocking issues.

Can SD-WE ink handle high-temperature and high-humidity conditions?

Yes, SD-WE PE Special Ink features excellent anti-blocking properties. It remains stable even at 40°C/80%RH for 24 hours without blocking or sticking. This makes it ideal for shopping bag production and storage in humid environments.

How does SD-WF ink perform on pearl film substrates?

SD-WF Pearl Film Ink is specially formulated for PP pearl films. It provides excellent adhesion and compatibility with hot stamping and lamination processes. The ink maintains color stability for over 3 years indoors without yellowing, making it ideal for festive decorations and premium gift packaging.
